How it all started
Calcs.com was founded in 2016 by Chris Borzillo and Steven Robinson out of sheer frustration with spreadsheets. As structural engineers themselves, they knew there had to be a better way to do the tedious, error-prone work of engineering calculations.
What started as a tool to make their own work easier quickly became something much bigger - a platform built to change how the entire profession approaches calculation.

Finding a better way to engineer smarter
Our platform gives engineers access to a growing library of code-compliant calculators covering structural steel, concrete, timber, and more. Engineers can run instant code checks, customise templates, and package their calculations for client review.
Every calculator shows its full working - inputs, formulas, and the code provision it's checking against. Engineers stay in control; the platform removes the rebuilding.
