To keep you ready for Simpson Strong-Tie’s upcoming HDU phase-out, the HDUE holdowns are now available in the Wood Shear Wall Calculator.

This ensures you can continue designing without disruption and stay compliant with the latest hardware availability.

Snow Load Calculator updated to ASCE 7-22

You can now design snow loads fully to ASCE 7-22, keeping your projects compliant with IBC 2024.

  • Updated criteria for low-slope roofs and surcharge loads
  • Revised thermal, slope, and winter wind drift factors

We’ve added Nelson Pine LVL 11 and Dindas LVL 13.2 & LVL 14 to the Australian timber calculators.

Originally requested by Intrax, these new sections make it easier for engineers to design with commonly specified LVL products — no need to jump between manufacturer guides.

Smarter tools for faster project setup

We’ve made several improvements to help you move through projects more smoothly, all focused on saving time and keeping your work organized.

  • Smarter project setup: Enter a project address to automatically see nearby projects and site conditions, helping teams reuse past work and context.
  • Universal search: Press Ctrl/Cmd + K to search across your projects, documentation, and webinars, all from one place.
  • Recycle Bin: Accidentally delete a project? Restore it yourself in seconds, no support ticket needed.

That’s all for this month. Your feedback helps shape what we build next, so let us know what you think.
